HOW TO FIND ACCOMMODATION IN BARI?

Very often visitors to our city encounter a major difficulty with their arrival, namely finding their accommodation. It is advisable for students to start their search for accommodation as soon as they receive confirmation of their mobility, so that they can keep track of their timetable and have no problems when they arrive. In order to facilitate the search, it is possible to make use of a list of different websites where there are many verified room advertisements, such as:

This is where ESN Bari operates in a more direct way, by helping Incoming students thanks to the support of the housing association ESE. ESE, i.e. Erasmus Student Experience Bari (Esebari.it), is an association that has an agreement with our University. This association offers students a free personalized service of house hunting, contractual support, translation and assistance with flat management issues. The contact person is Emilia, an ESN member who speaks English, Italian and Polish. She will be able to indicate available rooms with attached photos, location and prices via whatsapp.

The price of a room in Bari ranges from around €300 to €400, excluding commission. Landlords often look for people to rent for 12 or 6 months. Sometimes it is possible to rent for 5 months or to manage to negotiate for even less but it is not guaranteed (in any case, it never hurts to try, and we ESNrs can help you). Most Erasmus students in Bari opt for accommodation in the city center (near the Humanities faculties) or towards the Politecnico (for the Scientific ones) being easier when it comes to going out at night. In this regard, you should bear in mind that it is not always possible to use public transport, especially at night. The most popular neighborhoods we feel we can recommend are:

RESIDENCES

Private residences like CampusX (CX) offer comfort, however they may not suit everyone's needs. Despite their amenities, they tend to be pricey and are often situated far from the city center, making nightlife accessibility a challenge, especially without nighttime transportation. Though they're available, many Erasmus students prefer alternative accommodation options for a more vibrant experience.

ADISU university residences is intended for students from low-income families and must be applied for well in advance.

Usually, a university residence is not the best solution as distance and other reasons may limit the possibility to enjoy your Erasmus experience 100%, especially when it comes to parties.
